Bids and Tenders Manager - Tyne and Wear

BIDS AND TENDERS MANAGER
NRG are looking for an individual to work within our business development and sales team to manage the tender process, to help drive various large and complex tenders through to successful completion. This role is based in NRG's head office in Newcastle Upon Tyne and had a nationwide tendering remit.
Overview of Role
The successful individual will be required to build on our existing tender tracking process to increase our market awareness within both the public and private sector. You will have responsibility for managing and driving major tenders and proposals from inception through to close, reporting to Director level within the Business Development team. This will involve coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders, forging strong relationships with the end client and documenting and organising your work in a clear and methodical manner.
You will be required to produce project plans, write, format and collate materials for tenders and will ideally be from within the service sector either in a bid/tender coordination role or a procurement role.
The successful candidate will:
· Have experience of the bid process and have proven ability in managing this process. This could be through previous bid management experience or procurement experience with the ability to bring the relevant knowledge to the tendering side of the process.
· Have worked in the service sector and understand the requirements of tendering and selling in this sector, in either public or private institutions.
· Understand and adapt to evaluation criteria used by organisations in the tendering process.
· Be of a disciplined nature with excellent time management skills to be able to project manage various aspects of the tendering process during different stages of the tender cycle.
· Have the ability to collate and analyse data to ensure effective use of Company information and attention to detail at all stages of the process.
