Arch Group comprises a private housing company and enterprise development centre. Wholly owned by Northumberland Council, it is now being harnessed as a vehicle to deliver economic development and physical regeneration activity initially in Ashington but then across the rest of the County.

Low gearing and a £40m asset base combined with the significant support of the Council will create a new sustainable delivery model which will be nimble, unencumbered by beaurocracy and able to get on with the job of development.

A graduate with relevant postgraduate or professional qualifications relating to economic development, housing or physical development and regeneration, you will already have gained general management experience at the strategic/executive level. Thorough understanding of regeneration and the financial models associated with regeneration projects, development processes and successful project delivery is essential. Experience of working with a range of both public and private sector partners is critical.

A self starter you will need good political antennae and first class communication and negotiation skills. Commercially aware and innovative, you will have a proven track record of putting ideas into practice. An understanding of the issues and challenges faced by the communities served by Arch Group will be key to your success.
